Javea-spain 01
Xabia, or Javia, is a town in the province of Valencia on the eastern coast of Spain, on the Mediterranean Sea. The island city of Ibiza is 56 miles to the east.

The town was established by the Romans in approximately the 2nd Century BC, making Xabia one of the oldest seaports in Spain. Throughout history, it was additionally ruled by the Greeks, Visgoths, Germanic tribes, Carthaginians, and Moors.

Today, Xabia is known for its port, maritime activities and economy, history, architecture, tourism, hilly and mountainous terrain, beaches, bull runs, and citrus and olive groves.
