Waddesdon is a small town in the county of Buckinghamshire in south-central England.

It was founded in 1190 when a parish church was built here.

Today, Waddesdon is primarily known as the location of the grand Waddesdon Manor, built in 1874 by Ferdinand James von Rothschild. Historically, the enormous manor house has belonged to the Rothschild family, but is now co-owned between the National Trust and the Rothschilds, and draws in hundreds of thousands of tourists each year. The town is also known for small-time agriculture, particularly of silk.
