Adelina Sotnikova: I first traveled here in 2013 for the Russian Figure Skating Championships, in which I placed third. I then returned for the 2014 Winter Olympics, and won a gold medal, the first Russian woman to win Olympic gold in figure skating. My win was, however, tainted with controversy as rumors arose that the Russian judges had chosen a skater from their own country with unfair bias.
Magnus Carlsen: I traveled here in 2014 to compete in a rematch for the World Chess Championships. I won, placing first and defending my title as World Champion.
