Church Square
Shepperton is a small town in the county of Surrey in southern England, 15 miles southwest of London.

Due to its name, meaning "shepherd's habitation," the early history of Shepperton is debated. It is possibly first mentioned in history in 959 AD, but historians dispute that this could reference anywhere, and not necessarily the current "shepherd's habitation" of today. It was, however, certainly founded sometime before 1086, when it was recorded in the Domesday Book as a town of 25 households under the command of Westminster Abbey.

Today, Shepperton is home to a major British studio company, and countless large-scale film productions have filmed here, bringing in some of the most famous movie stars in the world, much to the delight and pride of the locals. The town is known for its small-town charm, pubs, and frequent flooding.
