Porto de Pollenca, also known as "Port de Pollenca" or "Puerto Pollensa" in Castilian, is a small town on the northern shore of the island of Majorca off the eastern coastline of Spain. It is located on the Bay of Pollenca and lies just over 3 miles from the inland town of Pollenca, with whom it has close ties.

The town was established around the late 1700's.

Today, it is known for its beachfront, sailing and boating, hotels, and relaxed atmosphere.

Porto de Pollenca in People's Lives

Agatha Christie: I visited here in approximately 1923, and stayed at a hotel in the downtown Pine Walk area. I later wrote about this town in my short story The Problem at Pollensa Bay, in which I described it as "...a small hotel standing on the edge of the sea, looking out over a view that in the misty haze of a fine morning had the exquisite vagueness of a Japanese print."

Catrinel Menghia: I visited here in 2014.

Mario Vargas Llosa: I traveled here around 2012, and stayed in the Hotel Formentor.
