Ligonier is a small town in southwestern Pennsylvania, the location of Idlewild Park, one of the oldest amusement parks in the United States.

It was established as a British fort in 1758, then called Fort Ligonier after John Ligonier. A town grew around this fort, especially after British forces left in the aftermath of the Revolutionary War.

Today, Ligonier is known for its amusement park, downtown area, and beautiful surrounding forests and river.
