Jericho is a town on the western bank of the Jordan River in eastern Israel. It is described in the Hebrew Bible as "City of Palm Trees," and is often thought to be related to, or a location of, the "Promised Land."

Irrefutably one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, and often thought to quite possibly be the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world, Jericho was first settled around 10,000 BC.

Today, it is known for its history, archaeology, plentiful springs, riverfont, and religious heritage.
