Today, Hursley is primarily known as the location of the historic Hursley House.

Isaac Newton: I retired to Cranbury Park here in 1715, at the age of 73, though this certainly did not mean that I retired from my duties as Master of the Mint at the Royal Mint, which I remained passionate about. I installed a sundial here and enjoyed the serenity of the English countryside. Though I did not pass away here, I mainly lived here until my death in 1727.
