Halki, also sometimes known as Chalki, is a small island and town in the Dodecanese Archipelago in the Aegean Sea, located 6 miles west of Rhodes. It is the smallest Dodecanese island.

The first settlement here began in approximately 27 BC, as part of the Roman Empire. The island has also historically fallen under the rule of the Byzantine Empire, the Arabs, the Republic of Venice and later Genoa, the Ottoman Empire, and Italian rule. It became a part of Greece in 1948.

Today, Halki is known for its mix of cultures, beauty, tourist lure, beaches, villas, simplicity, and island charm.
