Fakenham is a town in the county of Norfolk in eastern England, located about 25 miles northwest of Norwich on the River Wensum. It is populated by a little less than 7500 inhabitants.

It was first mentioned in history by the Domesday Book in 1086, which recorded it as being a small village with 150 inhabitants. After it became a market town in 1250, it grew in status and size. It's name is Saxon in origin, meaning "place on a fair river."

Today, it is known for its country feel, local mill, shops, and for being reportedly "boring," which businesses closing early.
