Dunedin-New-Zealand
Dunedin is the second-largest city on the South Island of New Zealand. Overall, it is the 7th-largest city in New Zealand. Often compared to the Scottish city, it is nicknamed "The Edinburgh of the South."

The area of Dunedin was inhabited by the Maori tribe beginning in approximately 1250, the oldest known settling of the land. James Cook landed on the coast of the city's area in 1770. The first settler of the city was a British convict, in 1815. The city of Dunedin was only officially established, however, in 1848.

Today, Dunedin is recognized as one of the essential cities of New Zealand, though other cities have in recent years surpassed it in size. It is known for its intellectuality, elite University of Otago, architecture, rich culture, elegance, beautiful beaches, sunrises, surrounding mountains and woodlands, arts, and history.

Rudyard KiplingI traveled here in 1891, when I was 24 years old and sorting out a tumultuous love triangle waiting for me back at home. I stayed in this city for a short time, and loved it. I visited with a friend of mine in his garden and explored the beautiful town.
