Dresden in People's Lives

Jude Law: I traveled here in 2013 to film scenes of the movie The Grand Budapest Hotel

Napoleon Bonaparte: I won the Battle of Dresden here in 1813, against Austrian, Russian, and Prussian forces. Though I had won, the victory was far from decisive, or as final as I would have liked. Some of my flanking forces were captured after the battle, and the enemy continued to recieve massive amounts of reinforcements, preparing for the next battle.

Ralph Fiennes: I traveled here in 2013 to film scenes of the movie The Grand Budapest Hotel. We filmed both in the city and at the Zwinger Palace.

Viktoria Tolstoy: I performed a concert here in 2014, with Jacob Karlzon.
