Henry VIII: I had a secret and quite private wedding her to my second wife, Anne Boleyn, in 1532, though we would also hold an official and more ceremonial wedding in London in 1533. Our wedding had taken much to finally reach - I had had to annul my marriage with my former wife, the queen Catherine of Aragon, and break from the powerful Holy Roman Empire in order to taken Anne as my wife. I hoped for a happy marriage, in which Anne would bear me many healthy sons.
