Capemay
Cape May is a town at the southern tip of the Cape May Peninsula in southern New Jersey, at the meeting point between the Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. It is considered part of the Ocean City and Atlantic City metropolitan area. Though the city has a small population of only about 3600 permanent residents, that number swells to over 55,000 in the summer months. The entire city is a National Historic Landmark due to the high concentration of Victorian homes and buildings there.

Cape May was originally formed as Cape Island in 1848, and was renamed after Cornelius Jacobsen Mey in 1869. However, a settlement had existed there since the early 1700's, and had been attracting wealthy vacationers, mainly coming from Philadelphia, for decades. Its popularity skyrocketed in the 19th Century, and it is today recognized as America's oldest seaside resort.

Today, Cape May is still a renowned resort and vacation town, prized for its pictaresque downtown, relaxed beach atmosphere, abundance of characteristic Victorian homes and architecture, boardwalk, tourist attractions and shows, and beaches.
