Cairo Montenotte is a town in the region of Liguria in northwestern Italy, located 31 miles west of Genoa. It's name translates roughly to "stone mountain night."

It was established around 10 BC as the site of a handful of wealthy Roman villas, some of which still remain there today.

Today, Cairo Montenotte is known for its villas, Roman ruins, and small town charm.
