People Born in Brisbane
Brisbane in People's Lives
Liam Hemsworth: I traveled here in 2008 to film scenes of the movie Triangle. We filmed at the Queensland Maritime Museum.
Miranda Kerr: My family moved to this city from the small town of Gunnedah, where I grew up, in 2000, when I was 17. They moved to give my younger brother and I better opportunities in better schools, and to allow us to see what city life was like. I continued to pursue modeling, and was signed with Chic. I often traveled to Sydney for shoots and castings. I was a good student, attending an elite private Catholic school for girls in this city, and focusing my studies on nutrition and health psychology. In 2001, when I was 18, I moved away to New York to puruse modeling.
